Screen and Design

The mobile phones have a similar look, characterized by the drop-shaped cutout screen to house the front camera. The screens are also similar, both with LCD panel and HD+ resolution: 5.7 inches on the Galaxy A01 and 6.1 inches on the Moto E6S. Naturally, Samsung’s phone can be considered more compact and lighter. The Galaxy also brings fewer edges, which helps to make the device even smaller than its rival.
The design used by the manufacturers is also simple, with plastic construction. Samsung offers the Galaxy A01 in black, blue, and red. Motorola commercializes the E6S in the blue or red options in the 64 GB version of storage and also in gray or pink in the 32GB model.
Cameras

The two smartphones bring a dual camera with the same specifications: 13MP main lens with f/2.2 aperture, and 2MP secondary lens to assist in portrait mode, background blur effect. The front one has only 5MP (f/2.2). The specifications suggest that neither of the two should be able to deliver good photos to current standards. With the exception of very bright environments, such as outdoor areas during a sunny day, all other scenarios tend to leave the user on hand even to share moments on social networks.
Performance and Storage

Both smartphones feature octa-core processors up to 2GHz. The Galaxy A01’s Snapdragon 439, however, scores better on benchmark platforms like AnTuTu in comparison to the rival’s MediaTek Helio P22. Thus, although both bring 2GB RAM in the most basic version, Samsung’s model tends to lead the way in basic tasks and simpler games. However, the Moto E6S can gain an advantage because it still has a 4GB version of RAM, 64GB internal memory, and also 4G connectivity, which is seen for about $350 on Amazon.
The 32GB of storage available on both phones tends to fill up quickly after a short time of use. The consumer may have problems even considering microSD support for expansion since several applications do not allow installation on the external card. Therefore, the most powerful version of the Moto E6S takes the best for bringing 64GB of internal memory.
Battery
The rivals’ technical data sheet is equal again in the battery question. Both bring a capacity of 3,000mAh, considered limited to current standards. Even with the simple and economical processor and screens, the charge may not last a full day of use in either device. Also, the micro USB charger that comes with cell phones has low power and needs about three hours to recharge the battery.
Android Version

The Galaxy A01 leaves the factory with Android 10, which offers the same interface and some of the features present in more expensive Samsung models. The same does not happen with the Moto E6S. Besides coming with the oldest Android 9 (Pie), the Motorola smartphone does not bring the gestures the line is known for, except for the flashlight movement. For now, the manufacturers have not revealed any update plans for the phones.
Additional Features

Only the Moto E6S brings a digital reader, which is positioned at the back. In Galaxy A01, the consumer has only the option of unlocking via facial recognition, known to be less secure. In terms of connectivity, the technical data sheets show equivalence again: both bring the old Bluetooth 4.2 standards and micro USB port, besides FM radio and headset connector.
Price
The Galaxy A01 arrived on the market in April 2020 and can currently be found for about $113 on Amazon. The Moto E6S was launched a month but today it is available for higher prices than the competitor: from $109 in the 2GB RAM and 32GB internal space.
