Acer’s new releases do not want to leave any segment of the population unattended. Professionals and students will have several alternatives within its catalog, as well as gamers, to whom the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 is addressed, a laptop for gamers with high-end features but at a slightly less prohibitive price than its big brother, the Predator Triton 17 X.
The Predator Helios Neo 16 gaming laptop will go on sale from May 2023, with a starting price of 2,200 euros that may vary depending on the configuration of components that each user chooses to equip it. In addition to a striking design, this new model will not skimp on specifications.

Design with Hidden Message and Latest-Generation Intel Processors
Every self-respecting gaming computer usually has some distinctive features in terms of its design, and in the case of the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16, it was not going to be less. Its abyssal black anodized cover hides laser-engraved encrypted codes that contain a hidden message for users. In addition, it stands out for having very marked shapes in a model slightly thicker than the powerful Triton 17 X, but lighter (it weighs just over 2.5 kg).
To ensure performance up to the demands of gamers, the Helios Neo 16 comes equipped with 13th-generation Intel processors, with both i5 and i7 available in the configuration. RAM can also go up to 32 GB of dual-channel DDR5 memory, which means in practice being able to run any type of video game, even triple-A ones, with agility and good responsiveness, thanks to the presence of an NVIDIA GeForce graphics card (these laptops will be equipped with RTX 4050, 4060 or 4070 models). Internal storage should not be a problem, with configurations including solid-state hard drives ranging from 512 GB to 2 TB.
Aeroblade Technology for Cooling and 16:10 Display
One of the most delicate points for all laptops whose use will be almost exclusively for gaming is overheating. To avoid this, Acer resorts to its proprietary AeroBlade fan technology, which is characterized by being all-metal. The laptop’s CPU also features liquid metal thermal paste so that it can achieve maximum performance without suffering from operational problems.
As for the display, the Predator Helios Neo 16 laptop is quite versatile, allowing users to choose between two 16-inch IPS panels, one with a WQXGA resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and another WUXGA display with a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution. In both cases, the sRGB color gamut is fully covered and the refresh rate will be 165 Hz, allowing video games to be enjoyed with total sharpness regardless of whether they involve a lot of moving action. In addition, the displays of this model have NVIDIA Advanced Optimus and G-Sync, making the images flow naturally before the user’s eyes.
