Honor Magic vs and Magic 5 Pro: The New Honor High-end Phones

Honor seeks to position itself as an alternative to be reckoned with in the high-end mobile sector in 2023. To achieve this, it will use two models as a letter of introduction: the Honor Magic Vs and Magic 5 Pro, the new high-end cell phones from Honor, one foldable and the other with special emphasis on the photographic section. With them, it hopes to maintain the path started in the past to make itself known with other mid-range models such as the Honor 50 or the X8.

Honor Magic VS: Foldable With An Almost Imperceptible Hinge and Quality Screens

Magic VS

The niche of foldable smartphones is gradually adding competitors, and Honor is jumping on this bandwagon with the Honor Magic Vs, a foldable with an almost inappreciable hinge with a 7.9-inch OLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. These same features are also seen in the outer screen, which remains at 6.5 inches. One of its main features is its resistance, as well as the 120 Hz refresh rate of the main screen (the secondary screen has it at 90 Hz).

This phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor, which guarantees good performance along with its RAM, available in eight and 12 GB versions, and the 256 or 512 GB of internal storage it can offer. Although foldables can’t help but be bulky, the Magic Vs stands at 12.9 mm folded and 6.1 unfolded, weighing 261 grams.

Camera with Sony Sensor and Long Battery Life

Magic 5 Pro

In the photographic section, the Honor Magic Vs has three sensors in its rear camera, the main one being a 54-megapixel IMX800 from Sony. Next to it is a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens that also serves as a macro and an eight-megapixel telephoto lens, with 3x optical zoom. On the front, it has a 16-megapixel sensor.

Another feature to take into account in the Honor Magic Vs is its 5,000 mAh battery with 66 watts of fast charging by cable. The operating system on this model is Android 12 with the MagicOS 7.0 customization layer. It also has 5G technology, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC for making payments.

Honor Magic5 Pro: A Fully-fledged High-end Model

In addition to its new folding phone, Honor also presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona the Honor Magic5 Pro, its flagship phone for 2023. This mobile, whose design is a tribute to Gaudí with two symmetrical curved bezels on the sides, has the most powerful processor on the market right now, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. In addition, the display is 6.81 inches with LTPO OLED technology, which can vary the refresh rate between one and 120 Hz in real time, also reaching a brightness of 1,800 nits for smooth viewing even under the sun. The display also has HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced certifications.
