Lenovo ThinkSmart Hub and ThinkSmart View take Video Calling to Another Level

The global coronavirus pandemic and the general lockdown of the population have destroyed many businesses and caused millions of dollars in losses to many companies.

However, as is often the case, the misfortune of some is for the benefit of others. One of the companies with the greatest growth has been Zoom, whose application of video calls has grown enormously.

And seeing the current situation, everything seems to indicate that there will be many who will have to continue working at home and using this application daily.

To facilitate its use Lenovo has introduced two new devices that facilitate meetings with zoom both in the office and at home. They are called Lenovo ThinkSmart Hub and ThinkSmart View.

The Lenovo ThinkSmart Hub offers a conference room collaboration system with full-duplex speakers and four omnidirectional microphones integrated into a sleek all-in-one device. The Lenovo ThinkSmart View, on the other hand, is a personal business collaboration device, designed to enhance home office settings. Both devices come with the corresponding zoom solution built-in. Let’s learn more about what the new Lenovo devices have to offer.

The first thing we need to know is that ThinkSmart Hub has been designed to take full advantage of Zoom Rooms. But what are Zoom Rooms? It’s a suite that addresses the three main problem areas of collaboration in meeting rooms.

On the one hand, it focuses on ease of use, with users being able to join meetings with a single touch. On the other hand, it increases video quality in video calls. And finally, it provides a simple system of content exchange.

That said, the Lenovo ThinkSmart Hub is an all-in-one device that offers a single I/O cable system providing power, ethernet, USB, and display connections. It has a 10.1-inch touch screen with FHD resolution and 320 nits maximum brightness. It features an Intel Core i5-8365U vPro processor, 8 GB of DDR4-2400 MHz RAM, and 128 GB of PCIe TLC SSD storage.

The device is equipped with four speakers to offer a powerful sound that reaches any part of the room. And also four omnidirectional microphones with 360-degree audio capture, so that it perfectly captures the voice of all those attending the meeting.

As for the software, ThinkSmart Hub is compatible with Alexa for Business, allowing users to control meetings simply by voice. In addition to being designed on the Zoom Rooms platform, ThinkSmart Hub includes integrated ThinkShield security solutions and is easy to manage using Lenovo’s ThinkSmart Manager software.

On the other hand, Lenovo also has the Lenovo ThinkSmart View, a smaller device designed to be used at home. It has the Zoom for a Home platform, designed to bring Zoom meetings to remote workspaces.

The device is very similar to an Amazon or Google screen speaker. It includes an 8-inch touchscreen with HD resolution. It has a wide-angle camera and a privacy shutter that allows the camera to be covered when not in use. Also, it is equipped with a dual-microphone array, WiFi connection, and Bluetooth connectivity so you can pair headsets and listen to meetings in private.

The Lenovo ThinkSmart Hub and ThinkSmart View are available for purchase on Amazon. The Lenovo ThinkSmart Hub can be purchased for $1,046.83, while the ThinkSmart View can be purchased for $309.99.
