There isn’t a week that Xiaomi doesn’t announce a new device. The Redmi brand has launched two new models in the Note range. This generation has more powerful specifications and a large battery, available at an affordable price. Also, the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max arrive with other interesting features: this is why you will want one.
One of the highlights of these two new devices is in the camera. Both the Redmi Note 9 and the Note 9 Pro Max have a quadruple main camera lens. The layout is the same in both cases, although the Pro Max model has a higher resolution. Let’s see what each device has to offer.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro is equipped with a 48-megapixel primary sensor. This is the sensor that takes normal pictures, without any extra zoom or angle. This camera does not come with the 48 MP by default, as it would take up more space. However, one can take pictures at this resolution through the camera mode. The primary lens is accompanied by a second macro camera. That is, for close-up photography. It has a resolution of 5 megapixels. The 48 MP lens helps to take the picture to get more quality in the image. There is also a depth-of-field sensor with 2 MP resolution. Again, the main camera captures the picture, while the other lens measures the depth of field and blurs the background. The ultra-wide-angle camera is 8 megapixels and works independently. It has an angle of 119 grams.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes in a similar setting, except that the main camera rises from 48 to 64 megapixels. This extra resolution allows one to capture more images over long distances and more light in low-light situations, as the sensor is physically larger and allows more light to be captured. There is also the 5 MP macro camera, 2-megapixel depth and the ultra-wide-angle camera with 8 MP.
As for the front camera: the Redmi Note 9 has a camera with 16-megapixel resolution. It ascends to 32 megapixels on the Pro Max model.

Long Battery Life and Fast Charging
Another outstanding feature of these two new Xiaomi mobiles is the battery. Both incorporate the same capacity, as the difference is only seen in the camera and RAM configuration. However, the fast charge is different, and it is somewhat more powerful in the Max model. Both have a capacity of 5,020 mAh. It is a great autonomy, and we can expect a very good duration. Especially considering the optimization of the screen. However, with this battery life, the weight is sacrificed: the two models weigh 202 grams.
As for the charging, the Redmi Note 9 Pro has an 18W output. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max has an output of 32W. This means a shorter charging time for the Pro Max, which is welcome with such large batteries.
Good Performance and Display
The Redmi Note 9 Pro and 9 Pro Max feature a Snapdragon 720G chipset, which is one of Qualcomm’s latest mid-range processors and delivers great results. Also, it features 6 GB and 128 GB of storage in the Pro model and 8 GB with 128 GB of storage in the Pro Max version.
The display is 6.67 inches with Full HD+ resolution. It’s an IPS panel. Unfortunately, Xiaomi has chosen not to include a 90 or 120 Hz panel, as we are seeing on other devices in the same range. However, it’s good news for those who want to save some battery life.
