More and more operators are offering 5G connectivity to their customers. Although at the moment the coverage of this system, in most cases, is limited to large cities, to take advantage of it a compatible mobile is needed. Until recently, only very high-end models had this connectivity, but manufacturers have realized that it is also necessary for the medium range. That’s why Samsung has announced today the imminent launch of the Samsung Galaxy A42, its most affordable 5G mobile to date.
The A42 is a tightly priced phone, but it includes some very interesting features. It has a 6.6-inch screen, a four-camera system in the back, 4 GB of RAM, and a large battery. All this is in design with a drop-shaped notch and a fingerprint reader on the screen. Let’s take a look at everything the new Samsung Galaxy A42 has to offer.

Large Screen and Four Cameras At The Back
One of the star features of the Samsung Galaxy A42 is its 5G connectivity. Thanks to the connection speed offered by this new system we can enjoy and broadcast live content, as well as ultra-fast downloads from the mobile (provided we have a compatible company).
And to be able to enjoy this speed and all the multimedia content, Samsung has decided to include in the A42 a large screen. This is a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED panel with HD+ resolution.
Under the cover, there is an eight-core processor, with two working at 2.2 GHz and another six working at 1.8 GHz. Joining the processor is 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. This last capacity can be increased by using a microSD card up to 1 TB.
A large 5,000 mAh battery completes the technical set. It has a 15W fast charge system with a USB Type C connector.
The Samsung Galaxy A42 is also equipped with a fingerprint reader under the screen and with an NFC chip, compatible with Samsung Pay.
And in terms of design, the back of the phone has been designed with a multi-layer print that shows a modern and premium finish.
We have not forgotten the photographic section. The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G has quad cameras to capture any scene from various points of view. On one hand, it has a main sensor with 48 MP resolution and f/1.8 aperture. It is accompanied by an ultra-wide-angle of 8 MP, a macro camera of 5 MP, and a depth camera also with 5 MP resolution.
Besides, it has a 20MP camera on the front side to make sharp selfies and video calls.
Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G will arrive on the market next November 6th. It will be available in three striking colors: Prism Black, Prism White, and Prism Grey. Its official price will be £349 (about $455).
