In-ear type, the Beoplay EQ are small headphones weighing 8 grams each. They are made of anodized aluminum on the outside and have IP54 water and dust resistance. Inside, they feature a 6.8-millimeter earpiece. A new dynamic unit that the company explains that it has calibrated in detail.
The main feature of these Beoplay EQs is the active noise cancellation. They have a hybrid technology to compensate for background noise and a transparency mode for video calls. Bang & Olufsen stands out in this model with the incorporation of up to six omnidirectional MEMS microphones.
In terms of connectivity, the brand takes a step forward compared to its other headphones with the presence of Bluetooth 5.2, as well as compatibility with Qualcomm’s aptX Adaptive.
For charging, the Beoplay EQ offers up to 20 hours of playback or 6.5 hours with active noise cancellation through the headphones, which have 85 mAh each. In case of not using the cancellation, the theoretical autonomy reaches 7.5 hours.
Fast charging promises an additional two hours of playback in 20 minutes and wireless charging is also available in the case, requiring up to 1.50 hours to top up the battery.
