Xiaomi has presented an avalanche of news today, and along with the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra appear two variants of the same model that are more modest and that focuses on a surprise element: thinness.
These are the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G and the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite (with 4G connectivity), which have a thickness of only 6.81 mm and a weight of 159 grams, a data that could worry us in the field of battery capacity, but Xiaomi reassures us: it has a 4,250 mAh battery, something surprising in this thickness.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite and Mi 11 Lite 5G Specifications
Despite its thinness, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite and Mi Lite 11 5G are not particularly compact devices, and they feature a 6.55″ AMOLED screen with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. This screen has a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a touch display rate of 240 Hz.
The interior is dominated by the recently introduced Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G (in the 5G model), an SoC manufactured with 5 nm photolithography and which is the most powerful of the 700 families. In the Mi 11 Lite with 4G connectivity, the SoC is the Snapdragon 732G.

Connectivity is assured: there is Bluetooth support, WiFi, GPS, NFC, and also an IR sensor. Audio is also covered with stereo speaker and Hi-Res Audio support.
The new Xiaomi smartphones do not forget biometrics: the fingerprint sensor is located on the power button.
The slimness
It is clear that the premise of this mobile is to achieve an extra thin mobile: those 6.81 mms are surprising but do not seem to particularly compromise the battery capacity, which stands at 4,250 mAh.
That thickness contributes to a weight of just 159 g (157 g in the 4G version), something that differentiates it from the standard Xiaomi Mi 11, which has a thickness of 8.06 mm and a weight of 196 g.
There are a wide variety of colors: up to six different colors to choose from. Three for the 4G model (blue, pale pink, and black) and another three for the 5G model (green, yellow and black).
The front of the handset features really small bezels, although there is a slight chin at the bottom. The front camera is hidden behind an on-screen hole, located in the upper left corner of the device.
Special focus on the selfie camera
The rear camera module is much more discreet in these models, both in size and in the characteristics of its sensors, which are still interesting.
The main sensor is 64 Mpixels with a 1/1.97-inch size, f/1.79 aperture, and 1.4-micron pixel size. Accompanying it we have an ultra-wide-angle 8 Mpixel f/2.2.
The third sensor in discord is the 5 Mpixel macro with an f/2.4 aperture and a pixel size of 1.12 microns.
Even more interesting than all of them is the 20 Mpixel front camera sensor of the 5G model, which is equipped with a 2x zoom mode. In the variant with 4G connectivity, this sensor has a somewhat lower resolution and is 16 MP.
Xiaomi highlighted how many users of their phones use them as mirrors for makeup, and that zoom is certainly interesting in that situation.
Price and availability of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G
The new Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G will be available in China from April 16.
