Xiaomi has done it again. It has reconvened an event with multiple novelties, has returned to expand a family, and has returned with the series (ex-Mi) T. A line of cell phones that picks up the baton of the first flagships of the brand each year to add some novelty and try to compete in value for money in the middle and high ranges.
Part of those premieres is this new Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, which not only reminds in name to the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G but also much of its features. Even that design with the square module as a yin and yang. A new mid-range mobile with 5G and triple with colorful options and a screen up to 90 Hz.

Another featherweight to the family
If there’s one thing about the 11 Lite 5G is how light and thin it is, and it’s something that, thankfully this new 5G New Edition inherits. 6.81 millimeters thick for this smartphone that arrives in black, light blue, pink, or white.
On the front, the camera again peeks through a hole through a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with FullHD+ resolution of 2,400 x 1,080, compatible with HDR10 content and with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Of course, despite the OLED panel, the fingerprint reader is on the side.
Change of processor, but almost even
The processor of choice this time is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G, as opposed to the Snapdragon 780 we saw in the first 11 Lite 5G. It goes up to 8GB of RAM and has 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
It has stereo speakers, NFC, infrared sensor, and is dual SIM. For its part, no change in the battery, which is 4,250 mAh with fast charging up to 33 watts.
At the camera level, the 11 Lite 5G has the following lenses:
- Main: 64 megapixels (1/1.97-inch, f/1.79).
- Ultra wide-angle: 8 megapixels (f/2.2, 119 degrees).
- Macro: 5 megapixels (f/2.4).
- Front: 20-megapixel sensor.
