The Chinese manufacturer realme wants to end the year prominently, and today has presented both its new smartphone, the realme 7 5G, and its smartwatch, the realme Watch S. To these two devices are also added the realme Buds Air Pro, the new wireless headphones of the firm that boasts an increasingly fashionable option.
This is active noise cancellation, allowing you to enjoy music and calls without external sounds impairing the experience. Autonomy is also one of the highlights of a headset that promises a latency of only 94ms.

A design inspired by the “pebbles”
The people in charge of realme say they have been inspired by the pebbles that we can often find underwater and that “capture the light and reflect it exceptionally”.
That pebble shape for the headphone head fits in with the pin that became a trend with the original Apple Airpods and has been used by other manufacturers in the design of their wireless headphones.
The Realme Buds Air Pro is very light: each earphone weighs only 5 grams, and they have a small silicone headset – provided in three different sizes – to fit even better in the ear cavity.
The charging case measures 60.5 x 56 x 24 mm and weighs just under 40 grams, which also makes it easy to carry in your pocket without being a burden.
The active noise cancellation by flag
The heart of these wireless headphones is the realme S1 chip manufactured with 28 nm lithography, which is responsible for providing active noise cancellation without this being a major consumption for the operation of the headphones.
This noise cancellation is divided into passive and active reduction. The passive reduction is focused on giving the headphones a perfect shape to be ergonomic and to isolate as much noise as possible. The active cancellation involves two microphones with a noise reduction capacity of 35 dB.
The design of these headphones positions these two microphones on the back face and on the front face of that head and both collect the ambient sound, from which the headphone generates reverse sound waves to cancel the noise.
More options for a versatile headset
The Realme Buds Air Pro also features a Transparency Mode that allows users to hear the ambient sound with a single touch of the earphones. This allows us to talk to other people while wearing them and without having to take them off.
This feature is combined with gesture detection: if one of the headphones is removed, the playback of the content being listened to is automatically paused.
Noise reduction works not only during music playback but also during voice calls, where the electronic noise cancellation system is activated, which significantly reduces external noise and allows our listeners to hear us more clearly.
In realme also highlight the latency of 94 ms which is 21% of previous products in this realme family. These headphones have a “Game Mode” that allows even better synchronization of audio and video when playing games or watching movies and can reduce latency by up to 51% compared to previous versions of these headphones.
The audio AAC codec support is coupled with the 10 nmm driver with Dynamic Bass Boost (DBB) technology to strengthen the bass and enjoy that option in certain music genres.
The Realme Buds Air Pro has Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, and the pairing is fast thanks to the S1 chip. Autonomy is 5 hours with active noise reduction and volume at 50% (6 hours if ANC is disabled), but with the charging case, this autonomy is extended to 25 hours (20 hours with ANC). The fast charge via USB-C allows that with 10 minutes of charge you get 3 hours of playback.
The touch control provides access to these playback functions, but you can also customize these controls and set that for example by touching the headset two or three times you can access the voice assistant and thus control functions of your smartphone more comfortably.
