Realme has just announced the Realme Watch S, its new smartwatch. It is the successor to the Realme Watch that we already know, although it has been renewed both on the outside and on the inside. The Realme Watch S is circular and has many new features, such as monitoring the blood oxygen level.
The watch was announced earlier this month in Pakistan, but it was not until today that the company made its price and availability official. It is not the only product the company has launched today, as it comes with the Realme Buds Air Pro (its first active noise cancellation headset) and the Realme 7 5G.

It is now round and measures the oxygen in the blood
The first thing that catches the eye about the Realme Watch S is that its frame is circular instead of rectangular, like the previous model. On the right side, there are two buttons that can be used to operate the watch and at the bottom, there is a heart rate sensor and a blood oxygen monitor with a red LED. The clock can monitor the heart rate in real-time, while the SpO2 measurement seems to have to be done manually.
As for the display, the Realme Watch S has an undisclosed technology panel (if it is the same as the Realme Watch it will be LCD) of 1.3 inches. It does not occupy the entire front of the watch but is surrounded by frames engraved with a minute hand. It is a color and touch screen, of course. Its resolution is 360 x 360 pixels, which translates into a pixel density of 278 dpi.
The device is compatible with Android, at least for now. To synchronize it and access summaries of sports sessions, sleep, and other health data, it is necessary to use the Realme Link app, which is currently only available on Android. The watch has Bluetooth 5.0 but lacks WiFi and integrated GPS.
Speaking of sports, the Realme Watch S is capable of monitoring up to 16 sports modes including outdoor running, walking, strength training, soccer, basketball, badminton, or static cycling. It has IP68 water resistance, but Realme warns that the Realme Watch S is not suitable for swimming and showering.
In terms of smartwatch functions, the watch allows you to control the music being played on your mobile, activate the camera to take pictures remotely and find your mobile by calling it. It is also capable of receiving notifications, both from messaging and social network apps and calls. The battery inside has a capacity of 390 mAh and, according to Realme, is capable of offering up to 15 days of autonomy.
Price and Availability of Realme Watch S
As we said before, the Realme Watch S arrives for $95. It will be available on the company’s website and on Amazon.
