Realme has reserved the environment of the MWC 2021 in Shanghai to present some of its first news of the year, although they already announced that on March 4 we will have a new mobile. For now, they have presented the new Realme Buds Air 2 and more mobiles of the Narzo series, which last year were left in India.
The direct successors of the Realme Buds Air have a slightly different design, although they are still completely wireless headphones (TWS) with an external bar. The noise cancellation feature of the first generation is maintained, while the chip has been renewed and the maximum battery life has been improved on paper.

An internal renewal in playback hours and noise reduction.
The Realme Buds Air 2 has a less smooth design, with the external bar separating more than the part that is placed in the ear. Aesthetically they look more like the Realme Buds Air Pro, considering that the case is also somewhat more rounded.
The main new features are the ones you can’t see, though. The new Realme Buds Air 2 incorporates active noise cancellation achieved thanks to its dual microphone. Realme indicates that they manage to cancel noises of up to 25 decibels, also with the help of a new chip, the Realme R2.
Other non-visible improvements include a 10-millimeter carbon fiber driver and IPX5 certification for resistance to sweat and water droplets. Bluetooth is also upgraded by one notch to 5.2.
Taking into account the carrying/charging case and the headphones themselves, the figures promise to be better than their predecessors. They can reach up to 25 hours without cancellation and taking into account the extra battery life provided by the case (with four additional charges), offering up to 4 hours with the volume at 50% and noise cancellation activated considering only the earphone.
They are fully charged in 2 hours talking about the case and the earphones, completing the full charge of the latter in one hour. Also, they maintain the touch control with gestures and the sensor to detect when we put them on or take them off.
Prices and Availability of the Realme Buds Air 2
The new Realme Buds Air 2 has been presented for now in India, but it would not be surprising to see them arrive in Europe. The price is about 3,299 rupees (USD 45.99, EUR 37.56, GBP 32.30 at the exchange rate) and they come with ear cushions and charging cable, being available in white and black.
