The new OnePlus Nord 2 5G has an important bet in the field of photography thanks to its main sensor of 50 MP but also stands out for its support for fast charging Warp Charge 65 and its processor, the MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI.

The new OnePlus Nord 2 5G has three possible colors: gray (Gray Sierra), blue (Blue Haze), and a very special green (Green Woods) for its texture that tries to visually and tactilely mimic that of wood.
OnePlus assures that the three finishes are resistant to scratches with coins or keys, and also boast a fair resistance to fingerprints textures.
The photographic bet is total…
The focus of OnePlus has been on mobile photography, and that is clear with the Sony IMX766 50 Mpixel sensor that is the pillar of that experience. Attached to it are an ultra-wide-angle camera and a monochrome sensor that allows us to provide that information in all kinds of situations.
The image stabilization of the main sensor will reduce blur and artifacts in the final shots, while on the front there is a 32 Mpixel sensor (the Sony IMX615) with support for group selfies.
Special attention has also been paid to the night mode, which can even be applied to portrait mode. The new Nightscape Ultra mode allows capturing images in scenarios with as little as 1 Lux of visibility, and the artificial intelligence of the MediaTek chip will bring improvements in these situations and the post-processing of the captures.
The Nord 2 includes the Dual View Video mode, which allows recording at the same time with the rear and front camera, something increasingly common among influencers and social network users.
… but it’s not the only thing that matters
Although photography takes center stage, the OnePlus Nord 2 5G has other advantages. The 4,500 mAh battery is promising, but even more so is its support for Warp Charge 65 technology.
In the box is included the adapter that will allow us to take advantage of this technology from the first moment, and with it, we can charge from 0 to 100% of the mobile in just 30 minutes.
The new MediaTek chip is manufactured in 6 nm technology from TSMC and has a CPU performance that is 65% higher than that of the original Nord. In the case of the GPU that performance is even better, growing by 125% over its predecessor.
The “AI” surname of this Dimensity 1200 is highlighted to reveal that artificial intelligence develops an important role in areas such as photography and even video games, where high frame rates are favored.
The 6.42-inch display with Fluid AMOLED technology has a refresh rate of 90 Hz and the aforementioned virtues of the chip and its AI capabilities will allow for example to take advantage of the AI Resolution Boost system to do content scaling for example on YouTube.
The new OxygenOS 11.3 operating system is the beginning of that already confirmed merger of OPPO with OnePlus and its Android customization layers, OxygenOS and ColorOS.
