Screen and Design

iPhone SE 2
iPhone SE 2

iPhone SE (2020) looks very different from the iPhone 11. The second-generation iPhone SE design features thick edges and a Home button, i.e. a look considered old. The iPhone 11 has thinner edges and a notch on the screen. Also, it doesn’t have any buttons on the front.

The two phones are also different on the screen. While the SE keeps the 4.7 inches of the iPhone 8, the iPhone 11 comes with 6.1 inches. Although both have an LCD, the resolution of the iPhone SE (2020) is 1334 x 750 pixels, while that of the iPhone 11 is 1792 x 828 pixels.

Camera

iPhone 11

The iPhone 11 tends to come out front in the photo set because it features a dual camera in the rear, against only one wide lens of the iPhone SE (2020). iPhone 11 features an ultra-angular lens and a 12 MP wide-angle lens, the same resolution seen on iPhone SE.

Both phones have 5x digital zoom, but iPhone 11 still has an optical zoom that approximates up to 2x without losing quality. For selfies, iPhone 11 comes with 12 MP sensors and TrueDepth technology for facial recognition, while iPhone SE (2020) records selfies up to 7 MP.

Performance and Storage

Iphone SE 2020

The highlight of the iPhone SE (2020) is Apple’s most current chip, the A13 Bionic. Both iPhone SE 2 and iPhone 11 have the same processor, but this does not mean they will have the same performance. iPhone 11 includes 4GB RAM, while iPhone SE (2020) comes with 3GB. This difference can represent more advanced performance on iPhone 11 in heavier tasks.

On the storage side, both have a 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB capacity option. As usual with Apple mobile phones, neither has microSD card input.

Battery

Although Apple does not report exact battery capacity, expert websites estimate iPhone 11 to come with 3,110 mAh versus the new SE’s 1,821 mAh. Both have a fast 18W recharge with Qi technology, which allows you to recharge your phone wirelessly.

iOS version and additional features

The two phones leave the factory with iOS 13, a system that brought dark mode to Apple devices. It also introduced Memoji to create custom emojis with the user’s facial features.

The iPhone 11 features Face ID biometrics, while the iPhone SE still uses fingerprint technology, Touch ID integrated into the Home button. Another advantage of the iPhone 11 is that it has support for two chips, allowing the user to have more than one operator through eSIM, a feature that iPhone SE does not have. Both also have NFC to make approach payments through Apple Pay.

Price

The iPhone SE arrived at a price of $399. The iPhone 11 arrived for $799 but is also already seen at a discount. The mobile phone is sold on Amazon for $736.
