June 2021, Honor presented the Honor 50, 5G handsets that were released yesterday in Spain, including Google services. Honor no longer depends on Huawei, thus securing contracts with AMD, Microsoft, or Qualcomm, and thus being able to introduce Google apps on their phones.
The Honor 50 Lite is the latest addition to the family, a new mid-range with up to 8 GB of RAM, 66W fast charging, and NFC. Let’s tell you the main specifications and technical features of this new Honor, a fairly balanced bet to compete in the mid-range segment.

Honor returns to Google
The Honor 50 Lite is a mid-range with Google services, so it can compete directly in software with any of its rivals. Its customization layer is still Magic UI 4.2, practically a carbon copy of EMUI, Huawei’s ROM, all running under Android 11.
The processor is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 (4G processor), accompanied by two powerful RAM configurations: 6 and 8 GB. The internal memory is 128 GB and all this is powered by a 4,300mAh battery with 66W fast charging, an outstanding figure, and more typical of a high-end.
In terms of photography, it has a 64-megapixel main sensor, accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor and two secondary 2-megapixel macro and depth sensors. The selfie camera is 16 megapixels, located in a black stripe on the panel.
If we talk about design, it has a gigantic camera module in the style of Honor Magic 3, as well as three colors: blue, silver, and black. On the front, it has fairly well-used frames, except for the classic chin that we find in virtually all smartphones.
Pricing and Availability of the Honor 50 Lite
The Honor 50 Lite will be available for purchase at a price starting at €299 for its 6 + 128 GB version. It can be purchased at the Honor store and authorized distributors. It will arrive in December when it will go on sale.
