The Huawei MateBook X Pro series is among the best laptops today and the Chinese manufacturer today unveiled its latest model. The new Huawei MateBook X Pro (2022) is an ultrabook with a 14.2-inch screen with 3K resolution, 90 Hz and a body with reduced edges to achieve a 92.5% ratio. And with the webcam in the traditional position, as the brand already started to do since the MateBook 13s and 14s.
Inside we have 11th generation Intel processors ‘Tiger Lake’, accompanied by 16 GB of RAM and for the operating system, Windows 11 is used. Here Huawei incorporates several functions to link with its ecosystem of products, but fortunately, they continue to rely on Microsoft’s system, as happens in most advanced laptops.

An ultrabook that dazzles with its screen and aluminum body
The screen of the Huawei MateBook X Pro (2022) competes with the best ultrabooks. It has an LTPS panel with a resolution of 3,120 x 2,080 px in 3:2 format. Compared to the previous generation model it has grown in size to 14.2 inches and brightness has been improved, reaching up to 500 nits. Huawei explains that the panel has been calibrated by TÜV Rheinland with 3D Lut professional certification and the Delta E color difference is less than 1. It also has VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification.
The bezels measure about 6 millimeters and the screen ratio achieved is 92.5%. This is a device that weighs 1.38 kilograms and is 15.5 millimeters thick. Very good numbers for a laptop of its size. Beyond its size optimization, the Huawei MateBook X Pro stands out for its excellent aluminum finishes.
The laptop body includes a cooling system that the company reports have improved by 100% over the previous generation. As for the Intel processors used, it is committed to a more advanced model that still consumes 30W. We have two versions, on the one hand, an Intel i7-1195G7 and on the other one with the Intel i5-1155G7. In both cases they will come with 16 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and a choice of two storage options: 512 GB or 1 TB SSD.
The trackpad of the MateBook X Pro (2022) allows gestures and is pressure-sensitive. As for the keyboard, there is a backlit one where the keys have a 1.5 mm travel.
Sound is another point that has been improved this year, with the presence of six stereo speakers and four microphones. The laptop incorporates a ‘Huawei Super Device’ system that allows data and files to be passed between different devices wirelessly by placing it on the surface.
In terms of connectivity, Huawei adds WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. For the battery, there is a 60 Wh and a 90 W charger. As for the number of ports, we have 4 USB-C of which two are compatible with Thunderbolt 4.

The new Huawei MateBook X Pro (2022) is now available for purchase in China. It is offered in three configurations, depending on the processor and storage chosen. These are the official prices of the different versions:
