At the end of May, Xiaomi launched the Redmi AirDots 3 Pro in China. So far, these headphones have remained in their native country, but now the firm has announced them for the global market. With another name, the new Xiaomi headphones will arrive at our borders as Redmi Buds 3 Pro.
For practical purposes, the specifications and features are the same. The Redmi Buds 3 Pro has active noise cancellation, declared autonomy of up to 28 hours, and a low latency mode for playing a game. Its price? From $59.99.

Noise cancellation at a reduced price

The Redmi Buds 3 Pro are completely wireless in-ear headphones whose weight remains at 4.9 grams. This is a fairly low weight for headphones of this type. They are fixed to our ear through silicone rubber bands (several of different sizes come in the box), which will not only serve to prevent headphone shifting but also improve passive cancellation.
Inside the headphones, there is a nine-millimeter driver (not the largest we have seen in Xiaomi headphones) and a noise cancellation system that, in the words of the firm, will cancel up to 35 dB (it can be adjusted with three modes). In addition, the headphones feature an AI-based scenario adjustment system although this will only work on Xiaomi and Redmi phones.

If we turn to the battery, the Redmi Buds 3 Pro has 35 mAh each that is combined with the 470 mAh of the charging case. According to the firm, the earbuds will hold up to six hours with noise cancellation turned off and up to 28 hours if ANC is turned on. It is to be expected that the figure will be significantly reduced if this function is used.
The case charges via USB Type-C, although it supports wireless charging (not too common in these price ranges). It supports fast charging and, according to Xiaomi, with ten minutes of charging you will get up to three hours of music playback.

Finally, in terms of connectivity, the headphones feature Bluetooth 5.2 and the ability to connect to two devices simultaneously. There is no mention of whether, like other functions, it will only work with the company’s cell phones or with all of them. They also have gesture control, position detection, and, to top it off, IPX4 water resistance.
