A couple of weeks ago Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi Redmi 10, successor to the Redmi 9 and one of its main exponents as far as mid-range is concerned. But Xiaomi has a certain eagerness to nurture its range of terminals with several versions and models, so it is not surprising that it has now presented the Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime.
The smartphone has been announced in India and, for the moment, there is no news about its possible arrival in the international market (and whether, if it does, it will do so with that name or another). What are the differences concerning the Xiaomi Redmi 10? The first is the battery, which is now 6,000 mAh. The second and third derive from the first and are a greater weight and thickness.

The same mid-range, but with more battery

The Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime is the same smartphone like the Xiaomi Redmi 10. The difference lies in the battery, which instead of being 5,000 mAh is 6,000 mAh. That, on paper, should result in greater autonomy. Fast charging, however, remains the same: 18W, so it is also expected to take longer to charge.
Having a larger battery has fattened the terminal a little bit. If the Redmi 10 is 8.92 mm thick and weighs 181 grams, the Prime model is 9.56 mm thick and weighs 192 grams, a relatively substantial change.

Otherwise, it is the same mobile. It has a 6.5-inch IPS display with a 90 Hz adaptive refresh rate (it will adapt to the content we play), a MediaTek Helio G88 processor, and up to six gigs of LPDDR4x RAM. For storage, up to 128 GB which, if it is like that of the Redmi 10, will be eMMC.
The photographic section does not change either, so we continue to find a 50-megapixel main sensor, an eight-megapixel wide-angle with a field of view of 119 degrees, a macro, and a depth sensor, both two megapixels. Selfies the same, eight megapixels.
