There may be a worldwide shortage of chips, but that doesn’t seem to stop notebook manufacturers, who continue to introduce new models. This is demonstrated by this Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro X 15, the manufacturer’s latest entry in this field.
Xiaomi’s new device stands out especially for its promising OLED display with 3.5K resolution (it narrowly misses 4K), but also for its high-performance processors that you can also combine even with an RTX 3050 Ti to give these devices a more than decent gaming touch.

Good processors, better screen
Xiaomi’s proposal is reminiscent of Apple’s MacBook Pro in its design: the screen frames are really small both on the sides and at the top and even at the bottom, and the profile of the device certainly seems to be inspired by these Cupertino devices.

The 11th generation Intel Core processors stand out in this configuration, which also belongs to the H series: this means more performance, although this may have certain implications for battery life.
This processor may be accompanied between 16 and 32 GB of RAM, something curious because Xiaomi does not even consider the option of 8 GB.
Probably the most remarkable feature of the device is its screen: this is a 15.6-inch OLED panel with a 3.5K resolution (3,456 x 2,160 pixels) that has promising features.
Thus, it supports 11% of the sRGB gamut and also sRGB DCI-P3, but also a maximum brightness of 600 nits, 1 ms response time, and Gorilla Glass protection.
Although this panel and above all this resolution may have an impact on the consumption of the device, this is a guaranteed device in this regard, especially due to its 80 Wh battery, a truly remarkable capacity.
Connectivity is also outstanding: in addition to Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 there are several USB-C and USB-A ports, but it is surprising the inclusion of an HDMI 2.1 port to take advantage of the new standard on monitors or TVs that support these options.
