Xiaomi takes “no two without three” to a particular extreme with some of its series. It’s getting further and further away from that time when the Mi’s were one and especially since the Mi 8 each series has been quite numerous, and now the new Xiaomi Mi 10s are added to their predecessors, the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10 Lite 5G and the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro.
This new Mi 10s arrives even after the Xiaomi Mi 11, unveiled globally earlier this year (and even earlier in China). But in some ways it keeps company with the recent flagship of the brand because in this case, it is also a high-end mobile, but with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870.

More DNA from the Mi 11 than from the Mi 10s in its design.
The design of the rear camera module is somewhat more exaggerated in this mobile, being quite more elongated than in the Mi 11 and inheriting the aesthetics that we saw in the Mi 10T and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro. The rear seems similar to the Mi 11 in terms of colors, finish, and curvature, seeing models in white, black, and light blue.
And for screen curvature, which presents a waterfall towards the edge (although without those peculiar edges that we saw in the Mi 11) hiding more in sight the already thin side frame. It is a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with FullHD+ resolution, thus distinguishing itself from the QHD of the Mi 11 but without leaving aside the 90 Hz refresh rate.
The camera peeks through this panel with a hole and we see that the fingerprint reader is also integrated into the screen. There is no 3.5 mm mini-jack, but there are stereo speakers on each of the top and bottom edges that come from Harman Kardon.
State-of-the-art connectivity and a good dose of RAM
As we said in the introduction, the new Xiaomi Mi 10s comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, one of the latest processors from this manufacturer that is oriented to a high-end that can be somewhat tighter in price (a step below those who go with the Snapdragon 888, the flagship). According to the memories, there are two versions: 8 GB RAM + 128GB and 12GB RAM + 256GB, in both cases LPDDR5 and UFS 3.0 (without microSD tray).
It is a mobile with 5G and NFC, also supporting WiFi 6. The Android version is not indicated, but it is probably Android 11 and, of course, what is sure to incorporate is the MIUI customization layer, which should be a version lower than 12.5.
The battery is 4,780mAh, supporting 33-watt fast charging and 10-watt reverse charging. At least in this version (for China), the charger is not included in the pack, but it may be that if it goes on to be sold globally it will be included in some markets (as was done with the Mi 11).
As for cameras, Xiaomi does not go below 100 megapixels and maintains this resolution for the main sensor. Of course, the four cameras are not left out either, remaining in total as follows:
- Main camera: 100-megapixel sensor (1/1.33-inch) with 7P lens with f/1.69 aperture and optical stabilization.
- Ultra wide-angle with a 13-megapixel sensor with 123 field of view and f/2.4 aperture.
- Depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture lens.
- Macro camera with f/2.4 aperture lens.
Prices and Availability of Xiaomi Mi 10s
The Xiaomi Mi 10s has been introduced in China for now. It is likely to hit the international market, but for now, we have the confirmed prices for China in the versions:
- Xiaomi Mi 10s of 8 + 128GB: 3,299 Yuan (~$506)
- Xiaomi Mi 10s of 8 + 256GB: 3,499 Yuan (~$537)
- Xiaomi Mi 10s of 12 + 256GB: 3,799 Yuan (~$583)
