Samsung did not want to let 2021 end without announcing a new tablet. The Korean company has made official the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 (2021), a device that comes to succeed the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8.4 (2020) and that, as expected, is bigger, more powerful, and with more battery.
According to Samsung, the tablet will be available in gray, silver, and rose gold in Europe in late December. To other regions, it will arrive in January 2022. As for the price, it has not yet been unveiled, although we know the versions that it will be available in. That said, let’s see what Tab A8 (2021) has to offer.

More on everything
Let’s start by talking about the design, where we don’t find too many new features. The Tab A8 (2021) retains the lines of previous models and the Tab A8 family, with a sober, simple finish and a single camera integrated into the chassis of the tablet itself. Its four Dolby Atmos-compatible stereo speakers and the presence of a headphone jack stand out, but otherwise, it is a simple tablet.
As for the screen, the new Samsung tablet incorporates a 10.5-inch TFT panel (much larger than the previous model) with FullHD resolution. Without being an overly pretentious screen, it is more than enough to watch multimedia content or play simple titles, which is really what it is intended for.
It is not a high-end tablet, but rather a mid-range one. That is evident in its engine, consisting of three or four gigabytes of RAM, between 32 and 128 GB of internal storage, and a processor that, as usual, has not been disclosed. Samsung, however, explains that it is a 2 GHz octa-core with 10% more performance than the Tab A7 (2020).
Otherwise, 7,040 mAh battery (2,040 more than the Tab A8.4 (2020), which is no small feat) with 15W fast charging (although the charger in the box is 7.7W) and a simple photographic set: eight megapixels in the rear camera and five in the front.
Pricing and Availability of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 (2021)
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 (2021) will arrive in pink gold, gray, and silver in late December, so it should be just around the corner. Its price has not been revealed, but its versions have been revealed: 3/32, 4/64, and 4/128 GB.
