Samsung has announced the launch of two new laptop models aimed at professional users. These are the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro, available with 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch screens.
The new models stand out especially for their slimness, especially in the case of the 13.3-inch model, which is only 11.2 mm thick. They also feature 11th generation Intel Core processors and, although they arrive with Windows 10 Pro, they are ready to be upgraded to Windows 11 Pro.

Thinness and lightness as a flagship
If there is one element in which these two models stand out, it is their slimness and weight: these are two extraordinarily light laptops, and even the 15.6-inch model barely exceeds one kilogram in weight.
Both their aluminum construction and extreme thinness also contribute to this: the 13.3-inch model is only 11.18 mm thick, but the 15.6-inch model does not go much further and is also less than 12 mm thick.
And that’s without compromising too much on a more than the solvent battery (63 and 68 Wh respectively, Samsung claim can last up to 20 hours) and a selection of ports where we would have liked to see some more connectors, but still offers a fairly diverse selection and even maintains a USB-A port.
An AMOLED screen that shines above everything else
There’s also a headliner on its spec sheet, and that’s the AMOLED display that Samsung claims is the most advanced ever integrated into a Galaxy Book family device.
This screen, therefore, promises a good experience that continues to bet on the 16:9 format and a Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080). The multimedia bet is completed with AKG certification of its speakers, which have support for Dolby Atmos.
The rest of the spec sheet is even modest. The processors are adequate, but the 8 GB of RAM in the 13.3-inch model may limit performance if you are looking for more room for maneuver.
There is good wireless connectivity (Intel’s Evo certification raises that Wi-Fi 6 connectivity support) and the integrated TPM chip ensures that we will be able to upgrade to Windows 11 Pro when that version is available for download.
Pricing and availability of the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro
The new Samsung Galaxy Book Pro is now available in the United States through Samsung’s official website and various vendors.
The price starts at $899 for the 13.3-inch base model. At the moment there is no information about availability and price outside the United States.
