The Redmi Note series goes AMOLED
The main change in the mid-range this year is in the screen. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro arrives with a 6.67-inch panel with AMOLED technology and a 120 Hz refresh rate. At the top, there is a small hole in the central screen to hide the front camera and the panel is protected with Gorilla Glass 5.
To date, Xiaomi had been opting for IPS panels as in the Mi 10T or AMOLED panels for the Mi Note series. This year, the Chinese manufacturer incorporates this type of panels in its most advanced mid-range and also does so by adding a high refresh rate.
With a 20:9 format and FullHD+ resolution, the screen of the Redmi Note 10 Pro is one of the most complete that we can find today in its price range. The company promises a maximum brightness level of 1,200 nits and HDR10 certification.
33W fast charging and up to 8GB of RAM, but no 5G
Inside the Redmi Note 10, Pro opts for a Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor, manufactured in 8 nanometers and with Adreno 618 GPU. This is the same chipset that we have in the Poco X3 NFC.
Accompanying it, the Redmi Note 10 Pro arrives with between 6 and 8 GB of RAM and storage options that will vary between 64 and 128 GB. For battery, the Redmi Note 10 Pro features 5,020 mAh with 33W fast charging. The company explains that the 33W charger is included in the box.
Another novelty is found in the software, with the arrival of MIUI 12 based on Android 11. At the connectivity level, we do not have 5G, but we do have NFC, infrared, USB Type-C, and a side fingerprint reader integrated into the frame of the device. We also have a “Z-Axis” vibration engine to improve audio immersion.
The 108 megapixels come to the mid-range
The photographic section of the Redmi Note 10 Pro is another of the most innovative points, with the arrival of 108 megapixels to the mid-range. The main sensor of the Redmi Note 10 Pro adds a ‘Pixel Binning’ to combine 9 in 1 and theoretically improve both processing and dynamic range. This year, the Redmi Note 10 also comes with Night Mode 2.0, which uses RAW images and an algorithm to improve lighting in low-light conditions. Redmi Note 10 Pro offers video recording with time-lapse, Photo Clones, Video Clones, Dual Video, and long exposure modes,
Accompanying the main sensor, Xiaomi adds an 8-megapixel sensor for wide-angle, with a 118-degree field and an f/2.2 aperture lens. Finally, a 5-megapixel telemacro sensor and a two-megapixel depth sensor make an appearance. On the front, a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.45 aperture lens is incorporated.
With a thickness of 8.1 millimeters and a weight of 193 grams, the Redmi Note 10 Pro also comes with IP53 resistance and dual speakers, certified with Hi-Res Audio.
