Realme presents its new smartwatch: the realme Watch 2. The new generation of its smartwatch comes with a color screen, continuous heart rate monitoring, and up to 90 sport modes. An economical watch where it has been greatly improved in one of the aspects where its first-generation already stood out; the battery.

IP68 resistance and monitoring of oxygen and heart rate
Realme’s new watch arrives with a 1.4-inch display, with LCD technology and a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. These specifications are similar to those of the previous model, but in this second model, the brightness has been increased to 600 nits.
In terms of protection, the glass comes with Gorilla Glass 3, slightly curved with the presence of 2.5D glass. The body of the realme Watch 2 is also protected against the water with IP68 certification.
On the connectivity level, the realme Watch 2 comes with Bluetooth 5.0 and 24-hour heart rate monitoring. It also incorporates blood oxygen measurement and sleep monitoring.
The device comes with a proprietary system, compatible with Android cell phones. More than 100 ‘watch faces’ are offered and 14 different training modes are included by default, although the company explains that they will soon release via OTA an update that will increase this number to 90 training modes, including cycling, running, yoga, basketball, or free training, among others.
For the battery, a 315 mAh battery is incorporated, which theoretically offers up to 12 days of use. The first model came with 160 mAh and we obtained good autonomy figures. We expect this new model to at least match its figures. The watch comes with a magnetic charger.
The watch offers music control, support for calls, acts as a trigger for the cell phone camera, and includes options such as finding the phone or sedentary lifestyle warnings.
Price and Availability of the Realme Watch
The new Realme Watch 2 has been launched in Malaysia and is expected to be available in more countries in the coming months. It is available in black with a 22 mm silicone strap and its official price is RM 229, about $55 at the exchange rate.
