At the end of 2021 we met the POCO M4 Pro 5G, a device that posed a new bet in the mid-range segment, but during the MWC has been presented its version without 5G. Let’s welcome the POCO M4 Pro.
This new device inherits part of what characterized its older version, but here POCO lowers the price and configuration to offer an affordable device that can attract users who are still happy with the 4G coverage that has dominated the market over the years.

A well-balanced mobile in which the screen especially shines
The POCO M4 Pro handset proposal once again demonstrates that the lines between the entry range and the mid-range are becoming increasingly blurred. The M family of POCO devices is supposed to be more oriented to that entry range, but there are features here that speak of another type of smartphone.
The perfect example is the 6.43-inch AMOLED display, which also boasts a 90 Hz refresh rate and up to 1,000 nits of brightness, which will undoubtedly allow the handset to be enjoyed even on clear, sunny days outdoors.
Also noteworthy is that 5,000 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging support (they promise charging from 0 to 100% in 61 minutes), and the memory and storage configuration is certainly solvent with 6 / 128 GB and 8 / 256 GB versions that can be expanded with microSD cards up to 1 TB to go further in the field of storage capacity.
The sacrifices go more along the lines of the SoC, a modest but interesting MediaTek Helio G96, or in the cameras, which we will see how they perform but which have as the main feature of the triple rear system the 64 MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture that precisely debuts in the M series of the POCOs.
This sensor is accompanied by an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle with f/2.2 aperture and a 2 MP macro with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, there is a 16 MP selfie camera that exploits a small hole in the screen in the central and upper parts of the phone.
