Just over a year after introducing the OPPO Reno5, it is now the turn of the OPPO Reno6 and Reno6 Pro.
Two phones are presented in similar formats but offering alternatives from different houses at the processor level and with a clear candidate for those who want a more versatile set of cameras. The surname will make the difference between these two mid-high-end proposals that are presented today at the European level.

A lot of brightness and curves only for the Pro
Although at first glance the smartphones share tones and shapes, it is easy to see that carrying the Pro surname means being more in line with the still fashionable curves. While the Reno6 has a smooth back that ends at an angle to the edge, in the style of the iPhone 12, the Reno 6 Pro draws curvature on both the back and the screen, and also its structure has several layers of graphite and steel, thus promising a higher degree of resistance.

The module for the cameras is placed in the upper left corner and is quite similar between the two, although it should be noted that the Reno6 Pro has one more camera, thus shifting the flash downwards. The Reno6, meanwhile, has a glossier and seemingly rougher finish.
On the front, both have the camera inserted with a hole in the display, which is a FullHD+ AMOLED at 90 Hz for both Reno6s. The touch refresh rate is 180 Hz, they have Gorilla Glass 5 protection and have a fingerprint reader under the display.
Approaching the top of the range in terms of processor and gaining in RAM

We said in the introduction that different manufacturers had been used for the processors – the OPPO Reno6 integrates the MediaTek Dimensity 900 and that the Reno6 Pro has the Snapdragon 870. At the level of memories, while the Reno6 remains at 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, the Reno6 Pro comes with a single version of 12 GB and 256 GB (UFS 3.1).
The mAh is another difference between these phones since in the Reno6 we see a 4,300 mAh battery and in the Pro, we see a 4,500 mAh battery. However, they tie in fast charging with OPPO’s well-known 65 W promising full charges in 35 minutes (in the Pro), as well as Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6, NFC, and ColorOs 11 on Android 11.

In cameras, the Reno 6 has the usual main + wide-angle + macro setup, boasting the following lenses:
- 64-megapixel OmniVISION OV64B main sensor with f/1.7 aperture lens.
- Wide-angle 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 sensor with f/2.2 aperture lens and 119-degree field of view.
- 2-megapixel OmniVISION OV02B10 macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture lens.
The OPPO Reno6 Pro adds a camera to this configuration, finding variations in lenses and sensors:
- 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main sensor with OIS and f/1.8 aperture lens.
- Wide-angle 16-megapixel Sony IMX481 with f/2.2 aperture lens and 119-degree field of view.
- 13-megapixel Samsung S5K3M5 telephoto 13-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture lens.
- OmniVISION OV02B10 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture lens.

The telephoto lens of the Reno6 Pro has a 5x hybrid and 20x digital zoom, but the brand has not yet clarified the optical zoom. For its part, the resolution of the front camera sensor is the same in all three phones: 32 megapixels.
