Hole in the Scree for Two Cameras
The design of the OPPO Reno4 is almost identical to that of the OPPO Reno4 Pro, the only difference being that the latter has only one front camera. Since we have started with the front, it should be noted that its screen is 6.4 inches with Full HD+ resolution or 2400 x 1080 pixels. The refresh rate stays at a conservative 60Hz and mounts a display with AMOLED technology. Pixel density remains at 409 pixels per inch and maximum brightness at 800 nits. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glas 3+ for possible scratches and accidental bumps. Inside this device, there is a Snapdragon 765G with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The battery is 4,020 mAh and its fast charge is 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash. Also, this processor is compatible with 4G networks when mounted.
Five Cameras in Total

The OPPO Reno4 has five cameras, two in the front, and three in the back. Let’s start with the front cameras, the main sensor is 32 megapixels with a focal aperture of f/2.4 and five lens system, and the secondary sensor is 2 megapixels with a focal aperture of f/2.4 and two lens system. This secondary camera is designed to help defocus and make the bokeh effect much more realistic. Although this focus on portrait photography is interesting, it would have been interesting to see a wide angle to get much wider selfies like the ones we do when sightseeing.
As for the back cameras, the configuration is remarkable. The OPPO Reno4 has three cameras and each one has a different function. The first one mounts a 48-megapixel Sony IMX589 sensor with a focal aperture of f/1.7, has a six-lens system, autofocus, and is optically stabilized (OIS). Also, because it has a large resolution it has pixel binning, which means it combines 4 pixels in 1 to better capture detail and brightness. The secondary sensor is an 8-megapixel wide-angle f/2.2 focal aperture, has a six-lens system, autofocus and the amplitude of this wide-angle is 119 degrees.
The third and last camera is a 2-megapixel mono-focal sensor with an f/2.4 focal length and three lens systems. This camera is designed to support the rest of the set as it provides more detail when capturing black-and-white photographs. We could have expected a periscope camera like the OPPO Reno4 Pro, but it is clear that the photographic approach is different. As for the functionalities of these cameras, there are specific modes such as the Ultra Steady Video Pro. This mode combines optical and electronic stabilization to achieve a smooth video without sudden movements.
Price and Availability

The OPPO Reno4 will be available between the second week of October and the second half of November. OPPO has not given an exact date when this device will arrive at the different distributors. What is known is the price, it will be around $599 for the only version available which is 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Besides, it will be available both in physical stores such as MediaMarkt and in Amazon-type digital stores.
