OPPO Find X3 Lite: Features, Reviews, and Price

They are the three musketeers of OPPO. The manufacturer has revamped its catalog and launched three models: the OPPO Find X3 Pro and OPPO Find X3 Neo are joined by the OPPO Find X3 Lite 5G, a device that is somewhat more compact but boasts 5G connectivity and a promising set of cameras.

The surname “Lite” actually deceives a little, because this is a smartphone with very decent performance in virtually all sections: perhaps the 4,300 mAh battery is the only point that may raise some doubt.

This is a striking smartphone with a screen that now supports refresh rates of up to 90Hz and is protected by a Gorilla Glass 3+ glass, somewhat less resistant than the Gorilla Glass 5 of its older siblings.

The SoC is the already well-known Snapdragon 765G, a model with an octa-core CPU in which there is one core at 2.4GHz, another at 2.2GHz, and six at 1.8GHz. Accompanying this processor is more than the solvent combination of 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage capacity that, however, we will not be able to expand via Micro SD.

Under the 6.44-inch Super AMOLED screen (which also offers support for refresh rates of up to 90Hz) is the fingerprint reader, although biometrics is reinforced with facial recognition provided by the 32MP front camera.

A design with a hole in the screen and camera module that increases slightly

The design of this Find X3 Lite makes clear changes from its predecessor, last year’s OPPO Find X2 Lite. This is noticeable first of all on the front, which goes from having a notch centered in “drop” format to one in the form of a hole in the screen at the top left of the device.

The back also changes in the design of the camera module, which is now a wider and less tall rectangle than its predecessor where the sensor dedicated to the black and white camera has been relocated.

The OPPO Find X3 Lite has three colors available (Astral Blue, Starry Black, and Galactic Silver), and that design also highlights the slightly curved 2.5D glass that allows the front to partially “wrap” the side edges. The front display is not fully symmetrical, and there is a slightly lower chin that is nevertheless discreet.

On the right side, there is the power button, while on the left are the two (separate) volume control buttons and, above them, the small access to the dual nano-SIM card slot. As we have said, unfortunately, this tray does not allow you to expand the storage capacity via Micro SD cards.

The camera module presents a slight protrusion, and at the bottom, we find both the USB-C connector that allows access to data transfer and SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging at 65W and the 3.5mm minijack connector, good news for those who want to continue using that type of headphones.

Boasting 5G and the main camera, we’ll see that battery

Important in those specifications is the inclusion of that Qualcomm processor that integrates support for 5G mobile networks and should certainly give leeway to enjoy the handset without problems.

It is, however, the same SoC that was used in the previous model, so here we do not expect appreciable improvements in the experience except those introduced by the software, which is much more recent: Android 11 and Color OS 11.1 are the options here.

There are also changes in its main camera, which in last year’s model was 48MP f/1.7 and now leaps a 64MP f/1.7 sensor. This poses theoretical improvements especially in the level of detail that we can extract from the photos. The rest of the sensors are identical to the Find X2 Lite, but it will be interesting to see if the new software makes the photographic quality make a significant difference.

The cameras have Ultra Night mode and Ultra Steady Video to record videos using stabilization mechanisms that, according to the manufacturer, work remarkably well.

The data that may generate more doubts is the battery, which nevertheless grows (from 4,025mAh to 4,300mAh) and above all stands out for the support of the super-fast charge at 65W of the OPPO system. The SuperVOOC 2.0 charger is included in the box.

Price and availability of the OPPO Find X3 Lite

The new OPPO Find X3 Lite will be available in that single version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
