Big day for Motorola. The company has just announced in China its new foldable, the Razr 2022. Alongside it, it has launched the Motorola X30 Pro and S30 Pro, two high-end devices that debut high-end specs, such as a 200-megapixel camera, Qualcomm’s best processor, and 125 fast charging on X30 Pro.

What the Motorola Moto X30 Pro looks like
The jewel in the crown is the Moto X30 Pro, a smartphone that arrives with the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, memory configuration of up to 12 + 512 GB, and a 4,610mAh battery with 125W fast charging, one of the fastest on the market. The charger in the box features GaN technology, with a relatively small size despite having so much capacity.
The panel is OLED, with 6.67 inches and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Particularly striking, however, is the touch sampling rate, at 1,500Hz. This is the highest on an Android, so latency should be minimal.
Remarkable above all these specifications is the camera sensor of this phone. It has 200 megapixels thanks to the huge Samsung HP1, accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultra wide-angle and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens (with 2X zoom). A barbaric configuration for the cameras, which aim to offer excellent results, provided that the processing goes along with it.
This is the Motorola Moto S30 Pro
On the side of the Moto S30 Pro, this is also a high-end phone, although the ambition is lower. The panel drops to 6.55 inches and maintains OLED technology and 144 Hz. The processor is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+, a solid proposal in the high end, although not as efficient as the 8+ Gen 1.
It’s also a lower battery model, 4,400mAh with 66W fast charging. The more humble camera is composed of three sensors of 50, 13, and 2 megapixels, respectively. Considering that the exchange price marks a difference of more than 200 euros between one model and another, it is not badly solved at the specifications level.
Pricing and Availability of the Motorola Moto S30 Pro
Both devices have been presented in China, at a price starting at just over 3,499 yuan for the Moto X30 Pro and just under 1,999 yuan for the S30 Pro. These are the prices in the other versions.
