After presenting the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS, a watch that not only had WearOS but was also one of the first to feature the Snapdragon 4100 chip, the company is back with the new TicWatch E3. It is a high-end smartwatch that repeats the processor, has NFC, and features an extensive suite of health-related tools.
The device will go on sale on June 16 on the company’s website and Amazon and its official launch price will be $199.99. Having made the introductions, let’s get to know Mobvoi’s new smartwatch better.

More modest than the TicWatch Pro 3, but loaded with features

The TicWatch E3 is somewhat simpler than the TicWatch Pro 3, which is the company’s most powerful and full-featured model. The watch drops the OLED display to implement a slightly curved 1.3-inch LCD panel with 320 x 320 pixels of resolution. The low-power FSTN display that we saw on the TicWatch Pro 3 is also missing.
The device has a 44 x 47 millimeter case and a thickness of 12.6 millimeters, as well as a weight of 32 grams without the strap, so it is in line with other watches. The straps, by the way, come in black, blue, and yellow and, while the company has not confirmed the specifications of the straps, from the photos they appear to have a standard clasp.

Inside the watch, there is a Snapdragon Wear 4100 processor, Qualcomm’s latest for smartwatches. It is the same processor as the TicWatch Pro 3 and, at least in that model, the performance it gave was very good. It is accompanied by 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage, as well as a 380 mAh battery.
The operating system is WearOS, from Google, so we will be able to install applications from Google Play and access Google Fit. In addition, thanks to the NFC chip, we will be able to pay with the cell phone. However, TicWatch has added its suite of tools.

Among the apps included we have TicOxygen (blood oxygen), TicZen (meditation), TicBreath (breathing), TicHearing (loud sound alerts), TicPulse (heart rate), TicSleep (sleep), TicCare (monitoring the health of family members from the Mobvoi app, it is new) and TicExercise (20 exercise modes). Related to the latter, it is worth noting that the watch has an integrated GPS chip.
As we can guess from the apps, the watch can measure our heart rate, sleep, and blood oxygen level, with the advantage that the latter parameter is recorded throughout the day, and not only when we do the manual test.
