Two Designs for Two Different Sizes

LG OLED ZX

The LG OLED ZX is one of the most spectacular televisions that can be found on the market. However, depending on the size you choose, you will have one design or another.

The one you have on these lines is the 88-inch model. It keeps the design we saw in the LG OLED Z9, last year’s model. That is to say, it has a very thin panel that has a ground base at the bottom.

This base has a very special design, with a hole in the middle. It also has an integrated Dolby Atmos sound system, with a power of 60W and 4.2 channels.

Keep in mind that this is a very large TV. It is almost 1.90 meters wide and weighs, with the support, more than 100 kg. So it is not a television designed to be placed on top of a piece of furniture.

The 77-inch LG OLED ZX, however, has a design called Gallery Design. That is, it is intended to be hung on the wall. If you want to use it on a piece of furniture, you can buy two metal legs that are placed at the ends of the TV.

The panel is very thin and has practically no frame, so it is perfectly integrated into the wall. This allows us to complement the decoration of the house even when they are off.

OLED Panel and 8K Resolution for Best Picture Quality

LG OLED ZX

The LG OLED ZX is currently the only OLED 8K television in the world. It is equipped with the intelligent 8K processor α9 Gen3 which, through the use of Artificial Intelligence, generates self-regulating values and ensures correct viewing from any source. This powerful processor manages to reduce image noise and generate greater clarity than other more conventional techniques.

Thanks to the Deep Learning algorithm that is integrated into the processor, the television manages to reproduce richer, more precise, and deeper colors from practically any angle. The algorithm is designed to support a higher frame rate (HFR), achieving pure black thanks to OLED technology. Also, this technology provides smoother, clearer movement for a sharper image in fast-paced environments such as football matches and action movies.

This year, LG is once again committed to including compatibility with virtually all HDR systems on the market. Thus, the LG OLED ZX features Dolby Vision, HDR10, Technicolor, HLG, and HDR Converter.

However, a new feature this year is the Dolby Vision IQ system. This is a system that intelligently adjusts screen brightness, color, and contrast when viewing content with Dolby Vision. These adjustments are made according to the genre of the content and the light conditions, seeking to achieve the best image quality in any condition.

Another new feature is the Filmmaker Mode, a special image mode that disables motion interpolation and adjusts the image so that we see movies and series as their creator intended.

Last year LG already looked at the competitors. The OLED models had technologies that had not been seen on other televisions. This year the Korean manufacturer is repeating and bringing all these improvements to the OLED 8K range.

The LG OLED ZX has Nvidia’s G-Sync technology integrated. This ensures a faster and optimal response time for players using Nvidia graphics. Furthermore, the entire OLED range features the Gaming Interest Group’s HGiG HDR mode and the Eye Comfort Display certification, which helps to reduce eye fatigue by being free of harmful HEV blue light.

Also, the LG OLED ZX has HDMI 2.1 connectors, allowing for higher frame rates, VRR, ALLM, and eARC. The first two allow the display of fast-moving content in higher resolution and smooth, synchronized graphics. This results in a more realistic gaming experience.

Price and Availability

In short, the LG OLED ZX is a television that offers us technical characteristics that ensure we are prepared for the future. And to all this, we must add the webOS 5.0 system, one of the most complete and easy-to-use Smart TV systems.

The LG OLED ZX is available in two diagonals: 77 and 88 inches. Its price is $20,000 and $30,000 respectively.
