Screen and Design

LG K62

The device has a large screen with a hole in the top to house the front camera and helps reduce the edges, a feature that is already becoming an industry standard. The system tries to ensure that the cell phone does not have such a large body, despite the 6.6-inch screen. Even so, it is a big phone and is not light, with a weight of 188 grams.

The device does not offer advanced protection against water or dust, but the manufacturer promises greater resistance to impacts and high temperatures as indicated by the MIL-STD-810G military certification. The LG K62 also features a fingerprint reader on the side and an extra physical button to activate Google Assistant.

The screen panel does not stand out beyond its size. With HD+ resolution only, the display should be limited to the quality of videos played on Netflix, YouTube, and other apps, and may not be ideal for reading. However, the panel tends to save energy compared to Full HD and can be a good alternative for those who need more space to view content. According to LG, the multimedia experience is enhanced with the help of 3D sound.

Cameras

LG K62

There are four cameras at the rear of the LG K62. The main one has a 48 MP sensor and artificial intelligence feature that, according to the manufacturer, helps to get better results. There is also an ultra-wide lens with a 5 MP sensor, to fit more people or landscapes in the same image; a 2 MP macro, to shoot very close; and an auxiliary 2 MP sensor, to blur the background in portrait mode. The front one features selfies of up to 13 MP.

The settings suggest results consistent with rivals in the same price range. However, the manufacturer does not disclose aperture specifications, which would indicate higher or lower performance in dark environments.

Performance and Storage

The LG K62’s processor is the MediaTek Helio P35, the same 2.3 GHz octa-core chip present in Motorola’s Moto G8 Power Lite rival. Together with 4 GB RAM, the smartphone tends to run well on major Android applications, except for video editors and games with heavier graphics. The device has 64 GB storage and microSD card support up to 2 TB.

Battery

Battery

The 4,000 mAh battery is not big enough, but the energy-saving screen and chip should help save energy. According to LG, the K62 supports a full day’s operation without having to be recharged. The charger, on the other hand, despite being of the USB-C type, does not offer a fast recharging function.

Android Version

Android 10
Android 10

The LG K62 comes with Android 10 and LG’s own interface that offers some unique features. Much of it has to do with the camera, such as a mode that lets you take multiple photos to create a Stop Motion effect and the YouTube Live button, which lets you share videos on the internet instantly. The manufacturer has not yet disclosed whether it intends to release Android 11 for the model.

Price

The LG K62 is available for a price of $234. It is therefore more expensive than the Moto G8 Power Lite, sold for less, which shares several specifications. In this track, the K62 competes, among others, with Motorola One Hyper and the Galaxy A21S, by Samsung.
