The iPhone 12 was launched for the price of around $US799. Besides it, there are three new Apple mobile phones: the iPhone 12 Mini for US$699; the iPhone 12 Pro for US$999; and iPhone 12 Pro Max for US$1,099. Sales start in October in the United States.
The great news is the 5G internet in all the new apple lines. Users will be able to access the internet at higher speeds if they are in a region with the new technology.
On the other hand, the company has removed the headphones and plugs. From now on, the iPhone case includes a USB-C cable for Lightning. Consumers who do not have a USB-C plug should purchase it separately. According to Apple, the measure was adopted as part of the efforts to preserve the environment.
iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini
The iPhone 12 has been “reimagined” in terms of format. With a 6.1″ screen, the model is 11% thinner, 15% smaller in volume, and 16% lighter than the iPhone 11. It was possible to achieve this result by reducing mainly the edges of the smartphone.
The OLED display gets the commercial name of Super Retina XDR Display. It is superior to the LCD found in other mobile phones, with more brightness and deeper contrast. A special treatment called ceramic shield protects the screen, to give more durability. “It is stronger than any other glass in a smartphone”, said the company.
The arrival of a smaller version of the iPhone was already expected. The iPhone 12 Mini has a 5.4″ screen. Despite this, all the other technical details follow the news presented today, including the 5G connectivity.

There are four color options: silver, graphite, gold, and blue. Customers can choose from three storage capacities: 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB. Apple has opted to end the 64GB version.
5G Internet
Apple CEO Tim Cook pointed out that 5G only becomes a reality for many consumers when the iPhone offers connectivity. The CEO of telecom operator Verizon, Hans Vestberg, pointed out that the network is expanding in the American territory, with new antennas in stadiums, show houses, airports, and tourist attractions, among other environments.
The company says that the 5G download can reach 4 Gb/s (Gigabits per second) in “ideal conditions”, while the upload can reach 200 Mb/s.
A14 Bionic

The manufacturer has announced a small version of the HomePod, called HomePod Mini. It is a smart box with high sound quality allied to the voice assistant Siri. It can be controlled by voice commands, either to play music, control connected home devices, or even search the Internet, with results that appear directly on the iPhone.
The integration with other Apple devices even allows you to perform fast messages on different products around the house, thanks to the Intercom feature. This new standard connects AirPods to iPhones and makes it easy to communicate between people who are in different rooms or even between different homes.
The HomePod Mini comes to compete mainly with Echo Studio in the United States, due to its higher playback capacity profile. By the way, the ball shape of the new Apple device is very reminiscent of Amazon Echo Dot’s new generation, announced by the rival a few weeks ago.
It is sold in white or gray. The proposed price is US$99, with sales scheduled for November.
