Those who are soccer fans probably know this, but for those who are not, Hublot was the brand in charge of the official smartwatches of the Premier League and those worn by the referees of the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Now the Swiss company specializing in luxury watches has unveiled the Hublot Big Bang e UEFA Euro 2020, a version of the Hublot Big Bang E customized for the Euro.
For practical purposes, the watch is the same as the base model but has some decorations on the occasion of this sporting event, the most striking being the ring with the flags of the 12 countries hosting the Euro. It also has some specific functions for soccer fans, as well as additional options for referees, who will wear it during the matches and use it to manage the timing. And how much does it cost? This will be available for €5,700.

Premium (and soccer-loving) on all fronts
The device has a 42-millimeter case made of sandblasted black ceramic. The crystal is made of sapphire with anti-reflective treatment and is water-resistant to three atmospheres (30 meters). The frame surrounding the display has the 12 flags of the host countries of the event, something that can be complemented with different straps with the colors of the teams (which are not cheap, watch out) and custom watch faces for each participating country.
As for the specifications, the device mounts an AMOLED display of 390 x 390 pixels (327 DPI) with a diameter of 30.8 millimeters. Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor (and not the latest Snapdragon Wear 4100), one gigabyte of RAM, and 8 GB of internal storage. Its battery is 300 mAh and the operating system, of course, is Wear OS.
It draws attention to the additional functions incorporated into the operating system. Being an edition for soccer fans, the device has an app that allows users to follow the competition in real-time, see: follow the times, know the information about the cards drawn, player changes, penalties and goals, the lineup of teams, the ranking of players and the position of players on the field.
Referees will also be able to manage the duration of matches and possible extra time from the clock, which will also be connected to the automatic goal detection system and VAR. Apart from that, it is a watch with Wear OS (with its virtues and shortcomings) like any other.
