Huawei did not let October pass before presenting a good batch of new products. The company has announced the Huawei Mate 40 Pro, its new flagship, and with it a new Porsche Design Watch GT2, smart glasses, and a new headset. Of course, we are talking about the Huawei FreeBuds Studio.
They are over-ear headsets, ie, that will cover our ears completely. They feature a minimalist design in black or gold, gestural navigation, and active noise cancellation. Also for a long-lasting battery, Huawei promises up to 24 hours of autonomy and fast charging. Its price will be $299.

Eight microphones and up to one day of autonomy
Let’s start by reviewing the aesthetic section. Huawei FreeBuds Studio has a very minimalist and simple design, incorporating eight microphones and only three buttons on the headset: on/off, ANC and Bluetooth. The headband is made of seven-millimeter stainless steel and the signature ensures that the earpads are soft, with just enough pressure to isolate but not to disturb.
Just like the FreeBuds Pro, the new headset features touch controls that allow you to respond, hang up or control music playback with one touch, control the volume by sliding up or down, and skip songs by sliding sideways.
Inside the headphones are two four-layer ultra-dynamic diaphragm units with 24-bit/96 kHz resolution and 48 Hz frequency response. They also have active noise cancellation, which this time adapts to the noise level outside. To do this, the headset uses two of the eight microphones, with the other six dedicated to capturing the sound of our voice during calls.
When it comes to autonomy, the company has not disclosed the battery capacity of its headset but claims that it is capable of withstanding up to 24 hours without ANC and up to 20 hours with noise cancellation activated. It should be noted that the Chinese firm has not forgotten about the fast charge, which guarantees that with only 10 minutes of charge the headphones can be used for eight hours.
Finally, Amazon has commented on some features related to connectivity. On the one hand, the FreeBuds Studio has a dual antenna up to 140 meters away which they claim to achieve higher quality and fewer cuts. On the other hand, the headphones are compatible with Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android and have a dual connection, allowing you to switch quickly between two devices (a mobile and a PC, for example).
