Have you received a message from a friend, family member, or acquaintance and then deleted it? Would you like to see it or know what he/she had written? We are sorry to tell you this but, from the WhatsApp mobile app, it is impossible. Calm down, because there is an alternative and it is through WhatsApp Web and a free extension for Google Chrome. Follow the steps we are going to explain and recover all the messages deleted by your contacts.
Is It Possible To Recover Deleted Messages On WhatsApp Web?
Surely, if you have ever asked yourself this question. And the answer is: yes, of course, it is possible! Because although the mobile application itself does not allow you to recover deleted messages, there is a way to do it from WhatsApp Web, the desktop version of WhatsApp.
But how? Through the extension for Google Chrome called WA Web Plus.
This extension works only on computers with the Microsoft Windows operating system and is available in 7 languages: English, French, Turkish, Portuguese (from Brazil), Russian, Arabic, and, of course, Spanish.
If you have a Mac, there is an app version of the extension that you can download right now for free from the App Store, Apple’s application store, from here.
In this tutorial, we are going to explain step by step how to recover deleted messages on WhatsApp from WhatsApp Web and through the WA Web Plus extension for Chrome on Windows, and regardless of whether you have an Android or iPhone mobile.
Here is how you can recover messages deleted by your contacts on WhatsApp via WhatsApp Web and the WA Web Plus Extension
The first thing you have to do is download the extension. To do this, open Google Chrome, go to the website, and click on the blue “Add to Chrome” button.
In the pop-up window “Do you want to install WA Web Plus for WhatsApp?”, tap on “Add extension”.
Now, it will automatically start downloading the extension to your computer. When finished, the WA Web Plus page will open in a new tab from where you can install the extension by clicking on the “INSTALL NOW” button on the top right.
Once the extension has been successfully downloaded and installed, open, it in the same Chrome window but in a new tab, https://web.whatsapp.com/. Without leaving WhatsApp Web, that is, keeping the tab open, go to the Extensions section. This is located to the right of the address bar and is represented by a puzzle piece icon.
From here, access the extension settings by clicking on “WA Web Plus for WhatsApp”.
Check the “Restore deleted messages” option. You will know that the option is checked because in the box on the left you will see a tick symbol or check in white.
From now on, if a contact sends you a message and deletes it (for whatever reason) and you want to read it because you are curious and/or need it, you will be able to recover it. 100% guaranteed! Believe us, it works.
And let’s do the test to prove that you can recover the messages that our friends, family, or acquaintances send us and then delete, either intentionally or unintentionally, from this very moment. You do it too! Ask a friend or family member to send you a WhatsApp and delete it.
Although in the WhatsApp mobile app you will still see the “This message was deleted”, in the web version of the application you will see the restricted symbol accompanied by a “This message was deleted: [message content]”, that is, “This message was deleted” plus the text of the deleted message, as we show below:
