Galaxy A20s and Galaxy A21s: Learn What Changes Between the Two Phones

The Galaxy A21s was announced by Samsung this year to succeed in the Galaxy A20s. Galaxy A21s

The 6.5-inch display with HD+ resolution (1600 x 720 pixels) is the same in both handsets, but there is a difference in specifications like the Galaxy A20s TFT panel, which is not repeated in the successor that displays the LCD screen. The Galaxy A20s weighs 183 grams, while the Galaxy A21s is a little heavier with 192 grams.

The Galaxy A20s features a drop-shaped notch to house the front camera, while the Galaxy A21s dispenses with the cutout to adopt the front camera housed in a hole inside the screen. The design of the A21s is similar to that of the Galaxy S20, the South Korean giant’s premium line phone. The appearance of the Galaxy A20s repeats that of its predecessor, the Galaxy A20. The older version can be found in blue, black, and red, while the new release is available in black, blue, and white.



The Galaxy A21s photo set has added an extra sensor. While the A20s offers a triple camera, the successor was presented with four sensors.

The Galaxy A20s triple camera has 13 MP sensors in the main camera and f/1.8 aperture, 8 MP in the ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture, and 5 MP in the depth sensor, which assists in portrait mode. The Galaxy A20s front camera records selfies of up to 8 MP.


The Galaxy A21s’ photo set has significant differences, including the 13 MP selfies camera. In the rear cameras, there are 48 MP in the main camera (f/2.0 aperture), 8 MP in the ultra-wide lens (f/2.2 aperture), a 2 MP macro lens (f/2.2), and a 2 MP depth sensor.

In terms of storage, the Galaxy A21s also stands out, featuring 64 GB, while the Galaxy A20s has 32 GB of data space. However, both smartphones have microSD card support of up to 512 GB.

As well as storage, the Galaxy A21s’ RAM is larger. The phone has 4 GB, while the predecessor offers only 3 GB. The phones also have different processors. Although both have an octa-core chip, the latest handset runs 2 GHz, while the A20s runs up to 1.8 GHz.

The Galaxy A21s also brought battery improvements. The Galaxy A20s has a 4,000 mAh component, while the successor has a 5,000 mAh battery. Both offer fast 15W charging. Both phones still have support for the 4G network, but only the Galaxy A21s has the Samsung Pay technology.
