More power, Dolby Vision, and better connectivity
For practical purposes, the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max does not change too much concerning the other models. It is an HDMI dongle that we will have to connect to the TV, which has a USB Type-C port and includes a remote control. This can be used to control the TV, call Alexa and quickly access Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Music.
Inside there is a 1.8 GHz quad-core processor along with 2 GB of RAM. According to Amazon, it is 40% more powerful than the Fire TV Stick 4K and offers faster and smoother browsing. In addition, thanks to the MediaTek MT7921LS chip, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max supports WiFi 6.
This will allow, at least on paper, a more stable content playback even with many connected devices as long as we have WiFi 6 at home. And speaking of connection, by having Alexa we will be able to control home automation, launch applications quickly, and give commands by voice.
In terms of compatibility, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max supports Ultra HD 4K playback, HDR, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision. If we talk about sound, the implementation of Dolby Atmos stands out. This is not exactly new, as the Fire TV Stick 4K was already compatible with these technologies.
Finally, and in terms of applications, it does not seem that the catalog will be a problem. Amazon does not limit the Stick to its services but also allows you to download Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+, DAZN, Atresplayer, Mitele, and more subscription services. The same with music, like Amazon Music, Spotify, and Apple Music apps are available.
