Triple Camera with 60X Zoom

Let’s start by talking about the pro model: the Oppo Find X2 Pro. The truth is that the differences from the standard model are not that much. This change is in the camera section. The Oppo Find X2 has a triple main lens. The primary camera, which can be used to take photos at a normal angle has a resolution of 48 megapixels. It is followed by a second ultra-wide-angle lens with the same resolution of 48 megapixels. Oppo didn’t want to add a ToF sensor to their new flagship, and they opted for a third telephoto lens, with a 5x optical zoom, a 10x hybrid (mixing optical and digital zoom) and a digital zoom that can reach up to 60x. This is a little less than the Galaxy S20 Ultra, as this new model from Samsung reaches 100x magnification in digital format.

The Oppo Find X2’s camera also features a 48 MP main lens, as well as a second 12-megapixel wide-angle camera. The telephoto sensor, which has the same resolution as the Pro model, works somewhat differently. It reaches 3x in optical format, unlike the 5x of the Pro model. Also, it supports up to 20x digital zoom.

The cameras of the new Oppo X2 and X2 Pro include new modes. Especially for night photography. The Chinese company has introduced the third generation of night mode, which can be used to take more precise pictures in nighttime situations. They have also announced a technology that can add much more light to dark surroundings.

However, the Oppo Find X2 and X2 Pro cameras do not have a specific sensor for macro photography. The device can capture objects at close range with a specific mode in the camera. As for video recording, it has optical image stabilization, an HDR mode and the possibility of improving the audio in windy or noisy scenarios.

The Screen of the Oppo Find X2 and Find X2 Pro

Both models have the same screen. It is a 6.7-inch OLED panel with Quad HD+ resolution. This panel has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, something we have already seen in Samsung’s Galaxy S20. With this frequency, it is possible to navigate the interface more fluidly, as well as achieve a better experience in games and videos that support 120 Hz. It also has a very high brightness of 1200 nits and supports HDR 10+.

The panel has a slight edge curvature. There is also a Selfie camera directly on the screen, located at the top. Below the panel is the fingerprint reader.

More Power and 5G Connectivity

Both the Oppo Find X and X2 Pro feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, an eight-core chip accompanied by 12 GB of RAM. The standard model has 256 GB of internal storage, while the Oppo Find X2 Pro has up to 512 GB of internal storage. Besides, both models have 5G connectivity.

The battery of the Oppo FInd X2 is 4,200 mAh, while that of the Pro model goes up a little more, to 4,260 mAh. Both models have a fast charge of 65W. According to the manufacturer, it can charge 100% in about 40 minutes.

Price and Availability

The Oppo Find X2 and X2 Pro will be available for purchase soon. They will arrive in a single version of RAM and internal storage, but with different colors. These are the prices for the different models.

  • Oppo Find X2 with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage: 1000 euros (approx. $1130.65)
  • Oppo Find X2 Pro with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage: 1,200 euros (approx. $1356.78)

Between both models, there is only a difference of 200 euros (approx. $226.13), and that is that they are terminals with very similar characteristics. There is hardly any difference in the battery, with 60 mAh more for the Pro model, as well as a higher memory version. In the camera section, only the telephoto and wide-angle sensor changes, with a more powerful zoom and higher resolution for panoramic photography in the Pro model.
