Galaxy A71

Screen and Display

The Galaxy A71 retained the 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution but features a different notch from the previous model. The Galaxy A70 came with a drop-shaped cutout, but the A71 comes with a camera inside the screen.

Apart from the notch, the two models are very similar in the front area, because they have thin edges. However, the similarities don’t reach the rear. The main difference is that the Galaxy A71 has a rectangle-shape that houses the quadruple-camera and the flash. While the Galaxy A70 has all three lenses forming a vertical line.

Camera

The highlight of the Galaxy A71 is the quadruple-camera. It has been divided into a 64 MP main sensor, an ultra-wide 12 MP, a 5 MP macro lens, and a 5 MP depth sensor. The previous model came with the following triple set: 32 MP (main), 8 MP (ultra wide), and 5 MP (depth sensor).

Galaxy A71

For the front cameras, both have 32 MP to make up selfies. Both also perform Portrait Mode.

Performance and Storage

The Galaxy A71 is equipped with its eight-core processor that reaches up to 2.2 GHz. The speed is faster than the Snapdragon 675 installed on the A70, which has eight cores up to 2.0 GHz.

Although it also comes with 6GB RAM like its predecessor, the product can still be purchased with 8GB. Both have 128GB of storage, with up to 512GB of microSD card space.

Battery

Both have a 4,500 mAh battery. There has been no change in capacity because it can maintain the autonomy of the devices even a full day out. They also rely on fast charging technology, which can recover some of the phone’s power within minutes.

Android and Additional Features

The Galaxy A71 comes with the Android 10 and the expected Dark Mode and can be upgraded to the latest Android version, which leaves the system with a gray and black scale interface. The A70 comes with Android 9 (Pie) and can also be updated to the latest Android version, but should probably get the update soon. Both have interface changes made by Samsung.

Galaxy A71

The on-screen integrated fingerprint reader and facial recognition have been maintained on the Galaxy A71.
